My story
I am a Limited License Counselor (LLC) in the state of Michigan. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University, Michigan. I work with clients 13 years of age and older and have experience working with individuals and groups. I specialize in working with clients with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety or depression.

I believe in creating a safe space for my clients to explore issues that may be painful and to promote healing. It is my job as a counselor to walk as a partner with my clients on their healing journeys. My goal is to provide care for those who need it in a way that meets their needs, including both in-person and telehealth sessions.

My counseling approach is based on person-centered and narrative therapy. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own experience. I honor that experience and provide my clients with unconditional positive regard.
I also use a number of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices.

When I am not working, I love to be outside gardening, hiking or trail riding. I also love to be creative, read just about anything and enjoy spending time with friends.
